We opened in Barranco

Taking this year as host district Barranco, the eighth edition of the International Exhibition of Graphic Humor Lima – 2015 was inaugurated with a total of 120 works from over 50 countries, addressing the central theme: Floods. This collection of works that will tour various parts of the capital for nearly three months, invites us to reflect on one of the natural disasters that more victims has caused in the world.

Antonio Mezarina, Mayor of the District, welcomed the international artists Guillermo of Chile and Claudio Kappel of Argentina, congratulating also the initiative of the private sector represented by Rocio Oyanguren, General Manager of Comunicación Activa. Meanwhile, Liliam Ballón Sánchez de Amézaga, Director of Environment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, allied institution in this ambitious artistic and educational commitment, commended this unique way of transmitting through humor the problems that affect our planet.

The exhibition, which has now become a valuable educational strategy to meet the challenge of communicating what is happening in the world and ensure that the solutions are assumed under a personal commitment, will remain in the Central Plaza of Barranco until Friday 25 October, and then will move to Jirón de la Unión in Lima downtown. It is important to note that the International Exhibition of Graphic Humor also has the valuable support of the Ministry of Environment and the Pan American Health Organization.
